The appeal annulled the expulsion of DP deputies, Bardhi: Punishment without law, the Assembly turned into a nursery of illegality
The head of the Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party, Gazment Bardhi, has reacted to the decision made today by the Court of Appeal, which suspends the punishment for the exclusion of several deputies of the Democratic Party from parliamentary life.
Bardhi said that the sentence was "without law" and that the Court's decision confirms the justice of the DP deputies' battle to restore constitutionality and order in the work of the Assembly of Albania.
He emphasized that the Assembly, under the leadership of Elisa Spiropali, has degraded into a "nursery of illegality", where force and arrogance violate the Constitution.
Reaction:
The UNLAWFUL conviction of the opposition, confirmed today by the Court, proves the justice of the DP MPs' battle to return constitutionality and order to the activities of the Assembly of Albania. Unfortunately, under the leadership of Elisa Spiropali, the Assembly has turned like never before into a nursery of illegality, where the force of arrogance and brutal violation of the Constitution operates.
Surrounding the Assembly with iron wire and hundreds of Security Forces, to prevent 24 opposition MPs, in violation of the Constitution and the Law, from exercising their duties, is only worthy of authoritarian regimes and never for a NATO member country. and a candidate country for the European Union.
We are eagerly waiting for the voice to come to condemn the unconstitutional act, to anyone who unjustly blamed the opposition and asked it to play its role within the Assembly, while the truth was that the opposition was being hindered by punishments WITHOUT LAW , with iron wire and Security Forces, to enter the Assembly.
It is the first case in history that opposition MPs are punished with a regulation that was annulled by the Constitutional Court, ignoring its decision to consider the exclusion measures as not proportional.
Those who UNLAWFULLY prevented the opposition MPs from exercising their constitutional function with the Security Forces for about 40 days will be held responsible!
