Bardhi appeals to Nicholas: Return the functional assembly

The chairman of the DP Parliamentary Group, Gazment Bardhi, spoke to the media after the meeting with the democratic deputies in the blue headquarters.

Bardhi called on the Speaker of the Assembly, Nikola, to restore constitutionality in the Assembly of Albania, to respect and guarantee what he swore to, the Constitution of the Republic of Albania and the constitutional rights of the opposition MPs.

Bardhi: Albania's need to have a functioning parliament and the illegal and unconstitutional actions of the majority that have prevented the normal functioning of the Albanian Parliament.

On behalf of the parliamentary group, I call on the Speaker of the Assembly to return constitutionality to the Assembly of Albania, to respect and guarantee what she swore to, the Constitution of the Republic of Albania and the constitutional rights of the opposition MPs, to give Albania the chance as a NATO member country and a candidate country for the EU, to have functional institutions starting from the Parliament of Albania.

The second issue that has been discussed, as you have witnessed, a few days ago I announced the decision of the group to send to the Constitutional Court the taxation law for freelancers, today the group concluded the request and signed the request to the Constitutional Court to amend or abolish the 23% tax on freelancers who are treated differently because for the oligarchs who take all the wealth of the country, Edi Rama has a tax 4 times lower than there is for those families who barely make it a month to feed their children and which is for free professionals such as doctors, lawyers, notaries, dentists, etc. which are the middle class of society.

Tomorrow, representatives of the parliamentary group will send the request to the Constitutional Court.
