Blushi's 'Bet': Meta will emerge as the most voted MP in Albania

The Secretary General of the Freedom Party, Tedi Blushi, has declared his conviction that the President of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, who is in prison, will be the most voted MP in Albania in the May 11 elections.

Invited to A2 CNN, he said that Meta is a symbol of resistance, open lists, and great causes.

"Meta is now the symbol of open lists, the symbol of resistance and the symbol of a missionary for great causes. Let us not forget that in 2008 Ilir Meta went on a hunger strike for these constitutional changes that bunkerized the lists."

Meta chose to run on open lists in the Tirana district on May 11th, and on May 11th he will be the most voted MP in the Tirana district and in all of Albania.

"Meta is not in normal conditions due to extreme isolation and limited ability to communicate with Freedom Party officials. Last week, they also denied me the right to meet with Meta without reason," Blushi said.

We recall that on May 11, Meta is running under the Democratic Party's banner on open lists in the Tirana district.
