Berisha: The current code is probably the most absurd code on the planet

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, during a conversation with citizens, criticized the current electoral code, describing it as "the most absurd on the planet."

Berisha considered this code to be unconstitutional and emphasized that it harms small parties, highlighting that for this reason he had proposed the unification of political forces for an amendment to this code.

Full statement:

Once again, a heartfelt greeting, Milaim.

You are very right.

The current code is probably the most absurd code on the planet.

Maybe, I don't say that I know all the codes, but there are clearly unconstitutional elements.

As you know, I invited all parties to unite because this code actually punishes so-called small parties.

One of the reasons for the grand alliance with 25 political forces was the change in the code.

But some of them refused on the pretext that we are not for rotation.

They are not for change, so they are for Edi Rama's position, regardless of what consequences the code has on them.

But we will change the code and territorial reform.

The territorial reform has unfortunately punished Albanian citizens, perhaps more than any other reform, after the justice reform.

He has removed services, cut investments.

Wherever you go, there are no more investments.

Everywhere you go, there are only salarymen who feed on citizens' taxes and offer nothing in the way of service.
