Rama's statements with children, Mustafaj: Is this the model of a prime

The Democratic Party's campaign spokesman, Andi Mustafaj, has expressed his concern about the unacceptable and inappropriate comments made by Prime Minister Edi Rama during a meeting with students.

In a statement to the media, Mustafaj described this incident as open abuse of children and a serious violation of ethics and morality, emphasizing that the Prime Minister's behavior, supported by the Speaker of Parliament, is an attack on the moral foundations of Albanian society.

He has demanded a public apology from the Prime Minister, as well as a full investigation of the incident, also calling for a clear separation between politics and education to protect the integrity and dignity of children.

Statement by the DP campaign spokesman, Andi Mustafaj:

In a recent public appearance, which took place as part of a government-organized event with students, Prime Minister Edi Rama not only used extremely inappropriate and vulgar language – but went so far as to tell children: 'You can find it on Google if you were curious, type in Edi Rama naked, it comes up there. How much have you seen?'

All this with the smiling approval of the Speaker of the Assembly, who is a mother herself.

This statement not only raises serious questions about the judgment of a head of government, but is a direct attack on the moral foundations of Albanian society and a disregard for the innocence and dignity of our children.

Even more alarming is that principals and teachers were forced to participate in this event. This was not an educational or cultural activity, but a staged measure of the electoral campaign, in which state institutions were instrumentalized and children were politically abused.

A prime minister who is not afraid to appear in a school environment with such filthy signs and self-aggrandizing comments cannot be considered a moral or political authority. What does it say about a leader when he makes his own nudity a topic of conversation with children?

We firmly demand:

• A public apology from the Prime Minister to the students, parents and teachers involved;

• An immediate investigation by independent bodies into the circumstances of this event;

• Clear boundaries between politics and education to protect our children;

• Respect for dignity, courtesy and a sense of responsibility in political communication.

Albania needs models completely opposite to those promoted by the Prime Minister. Albania needs education, not political indoctrination. And above all: Albania must protect its children from these border violations.
