"They can't vote for the one who expelled them", Topalli: It's difficult for the government to impose voting on immigrants

"They can't vote for the one who expelled them", Topalli:

The political leader of the Democratic Party for the Diaspora, Jozefina Topalli, says that the vote of immigrants in the May 11 elections is expected to be a clear signal for the change that Albania seeks.

Invited to News24, she said that over 1 million Albanians have left the country in the last 12 years, and it is difficult to believe that this part of society will vote for the government that, as she said, forced them to emigrate.

"If we follow normal logic, this vote should turn into a vote for change and rotation of power, " Topalli said.

She harshly criticized the misuse of public administration, describing it as a " ruthless mechanism under the control of senior leaders" , and added that, " unlike within the country, it is more difficult to impose the vote on emigrants - except in cases where pressure is exerted through the work of their family members in Albania".
