Berisha: Within the first 3 months, the DP will lift Albanians out of extreme

Sali Berisha stated that public funds exist, but according to him, they are stolen by the current government.

At the meeting with the Democrats of unit number 8 in Tirana, he promised that within the first three months of a government led by the Democratic Party, Albanians will emerge from extreme poverty.

Berisha:  Take just one thing for a moment. 2005-2013, we doubled salaries. There is no teacher who can say my salary did not double. There is no nurse who can say my salary did not double. There is no doctor who can say my salary did not more than double, that's all. The minimum pensions were shameful, they were 37 euros. The minimum was increased to 82 euros in the countryside, the pension in the city increased to 100 or so euros, the average pension reached 146 thousand lek.

Of course, these were done by taking money from the budget, by adding it to salaries and pensions, they did not come by themselves and Albania did not fall, nor did it collapse, but 11,300 km of roads were built. But why were 11,300 km of roads built?

Because the roads were built at the prices that were built in Europe. The Lushnja-Fier road was built at a cost of 1 million euros per kilometer. The Fier bypass, which is wider, was built at a cost of 2.8 million euros per kilometer.

The Levan-Vlora highway, the widest in Albania, and two very large bridges on the Vjosa were built at a cost of 2.8 million euros per kilometer.

And this one, the 20 million euro per kilometer road. The Tirana Ring Road, he takes and divides it. The Tirana Ring Road, 13 kilometers, is divided into 14 pieces, 14 contracts, 14 contracting. But why? To steal 14 times.

So, is it money? Money is absolutely money, but money is stolen.

They go to Turkey, because people should know. They go to Turkey for the Llogara tunnel, a tunnel that should never have been built, because that tunnel is a terrible fine for Albanians. Can I say not to build a tunnel? I never say that. There are 3-4 thousand inhabitants living on the coast, honorable people, and of course it makes it easier for them, but in the world you don't invest 60 thousand euros for a public work per inhabitant, because there the cost of the tunnel is 60 thousand euros per inhabitant.

And the other one. Why is the tunnel being built? Is it being built for tourist purposes? Yes. Yes. The Llogara Pass is one of the most stunning tourist sights in Albania and beyond.

And how much does the tunnel shorten? The tunnel shortens 13 minutes, by an hour. So then, how was the tunnel built, you say? The tunnel was built to steal 50 million euros. The company that offered to build the tunnel offered to build 130 million. A Turkish company in Ankara was given 180 million by Belinda Balluku, 50 million more.

So, where is the money? Where will we find the money? The money is here. It's the money and there's plenty of it.

Of course, the prime minister cannot fly by plane, spend 21 million euros for 2 years. No. The prime minister will travel by commercial airline like all citizens and will spend not even 1/50 of this expenditure.

They can't be placed in the courtyard of the Prime Minister's Office, no prime minister in the world has one. Only if the Sultan of Brunei, or these democratic governments, had a 5 million euro Garden of Eden, would he be able to come down and climb the stairs among the flower pots.

Are these done? Here they all are.

So, the money is there. And we will use this money first and foremost to lift Albanians out of extreme poverty. And this will absolutely happen in the first 3 months with the decisions and laws that we will adopt.
