Berisha: I am Kosovar, but I do not mention Kosovo for political capital
The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha has declared that he is Kosovar.
Invited to Opinion, he says that Tropoja belongs to the Gjakova Highlands, while adding that he never mentions Kosovo for political capital.
"First, I want to repeat to you, I am Kosovar. Tropoja is an ethnic part of what is called Kosovo. Not by origin.
Gjakova Highlands, such as St. George highlands of Tirana, Tropoja is Gjakova Highlands. When the border was established, a good part of its villages remained there. I can never say that Kosovo is mentioned by me for political capital.
"Today we are in the circumstances of a clear national betrayal of the Albanians by Edi Rama with the Balkan project of Vuçiç, Putin and Belgrade" , says Berisha.
