The political leader of Tirana, Belind Kelliçi, has called on Albanians in the USA to vote for Nick Gjonaj.
In a post on Facebook, Kelliçi shared a photo with Gjonaj where he wrote that the diaspora in America should vote for the Albanian with the highest position in one of the richest regions in the USA.
"Albanian Americans of Michigan this time have the opportunity to make history!
By voting for Nik Gjonaj for the position of Mayor of Oakland (Oakland County Executive), you will vote for the Albanian with the highest position in one of the richest regions of America!
We have only 42 days to make the big CHANGE!
