The National Council of the Democratic Party has published the regulations for the Primaries.

Party members freely exercise their right to vote in primaries, in accordance with the modalities set out in this regulation.

The list of voters in the primary process is officially sent to the candidates by the Human Resources Organizational Secretariat, no later than 7 days before the date of the primaries.

 The primaries process for the elections to the Assembly of Albania, as a rule, must be no later than 5 days from the maximum legal deadline that the Electoral Code provides for the submission of the list of political parties or coalitions. This deadline may be reduced in cases of changes to the legal deadlines in the Electoral Code.

Candidates interested in participating in the primaries for the Assembly elections, as per Article 12, point 1 of the DPA Statute, are identified through

 a) self-proposition;

 b) proposal from the membership; or

 c) proposal from the central bodies of the DPA.
