Meta reacts from cell to Kosovo elections: Extraordinary example for Albania
The leader of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, reacted from the cell for the parliamentary elections held today in Kosovo. In a post on his Facebook social network, Meta congratulated the citizens and political class of Kosovo for developing a completely peaceful and fair voting process.

"Best wishes to the citizens and political class in Kosovo, who through today's completely peaceful and very fair voting process again provided an excellent example of the functioning of democracy, the rule of law and guaranteeing free vote," Meta wrote.

He praised Kosovo as a model for Albania, stressing that our country suffers under the "hoof of narco-government" and criminal efforts to destroy political pluralism and free elections.

"Kosovo is an extraordinary example and the only path to follow to save democracy and the rule of law," he added in his message.

The election process in Kosovo
Citizens of Kosovo today had the opportunity to express their will through the vote, while the counting process has already begun.

In the elections, 28 political entities ran with 1,280 candidates, who aim for 120 seats in the Kosovo Assembly. The leading candidates for prime minister are:

Albin Kurti
Bedri Hamza
Lumir Abdikhhiku
Ramush Haradinaj

Polling stations opened at 07:00 and closed at 19:00. The process was conducted without major incidents and in accordance with democratic standards.
