Tabaku reacts after the meeting of the Xhafaj commission: The integration

While the majority has convened the Special Parliamentary Committee "For the deepening of reforms for good governance, the rule of law and anti-corruption for Albania 2030 in the European Union", the DP deputy, Jorida Tabaku, has reacted through a post on the X social network.

The chairperson of KKIE and the Commission of European Affairs has written that this commission is a duplicate of the National Integration Council as it has not only appropriated all the staff of KKIE but also the functions and power of this Council. But, according to her, the real problem of this commission is that it seeks to place under tutelage the experts of independent institutions that it will place under the authority of the chairman of the commission Xhafaj.

Tabak's reaction comes after the international factor has asked the government to find the language of a dialogue with the opposition regarding the commission.

"Establishing an institution that duplicates the National Integration Council and that takes the secretariat and the staff attached to the KKIE is not dialogue or inclusiveness, much less a demand for one. But this is the least since the right concerns it has raised The ISP Institute, in relation to this commission, is an alarm signal.

The integration process and the fight against corruption do not need either propaganda or big words. But for commitment that unfortunately has been missing and that could have been done every day for 11 years and must be done every day that passes.

The establishment of joint work groups with institutions that are and should be independent, under the dependence of this commission, which is more of a party, undermines the independence of independent institutions. It senselessly duplicates the functions performed by the parliamentary committees and undermines and narrows the role of the opposition in the parliament by completely duplicating the committees and councils that the opposition leads.

If we really want integration, we need to work every day and above all we have the will. "Mazhoranca has been singing the song of the ginkalla for years, it can't even walk with the step of an ant for this process," writes Tabaku.
