Meeting in Rome/Gjekmarkaj: The May 11 elections, a historic act to bring about real change

DP Vice President Agron Gjekmarkaj delivered a speech to Albanians in Rome, where a meeting is also being held with Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha and other DP officials. 

In his speech, Gjekmarkaj said that the May 11 elections are a critical moment for the future of Albania. According to him, a fair and just future for every Albanian depends on the fate of that day!

Gjekmarkaj : We are gathered here in our beloved friend's country, in Italy of great values, in the DNA of European civilization, in the land of emperors, poets, saints, in the fertile soil of the mind, knowledge and work, in eternal Rome, in this magnificent meeting, symbol of the Albanian heart that beats with mythological power, in this conversation, prelude to Victory!

Today this hall is an eagle's nest!

Sali Berisha is here among you today to share the great national project of Albania's revival, its very modernity, to sign the contract with Albanians wherever they are for an Albania that returns to motherhood, that invites you and does not expel you, that completes the European dream not only of integration but also of well-being, law and security!

The government of sins, the government of vices, the government of scandals, the government of Edi Rama has expelled the people! In every other country, it is not the people who flee, but the government! Albanians will return and Edi Rama will flee!

The May 11 elections are a critical moment for the future of Albania.

They are not just a vote, but a historic act to bring about real change, to stop the devastation and plunder, the degradation and banality of evil!

A fair and just future for every Albanian depends on the fate of that day!

Your voice is powerful and decisive, because you see Albania from afar, but with the love and dedication that only an Albanian can have for his homeland.

This love will defeat hate, this love the lighthouse to light the way towards the horizon we have lost!
