Teliti: Scandal, Veliaj leads the Municipality from a prison cell

Dorian Teliti, vice president of the Municipal Council, spoke about the situation in which the Municipality of Tirana has found itself since the day of Erion Veliaj's arrest, where it was discovered that this event has brought about a major scandal.

Invited to the show 'Kafe Shqeto', Teliti said that the letter that came from him, signed by the mayor, was withdrawn and never recorded, making it invalid and highlighting the crisis of institutions and the flagrant violation of the law in Tirana.

Teliti: Even the first delegation that was made for Ristan was made by Veliaj, from a prison cell. As the first document came out. The document that came out was withdrawn, it was never recorded, this is a scandal in itself.

That a letter issued by the mayor from his cell, which is a scandal, that from his cell you continue to run the Municipality of Tirana. Then this letter by order of the prime minister was never recorded. There was no point in canceling the letter, since it was said that the letter does not exist. There is a letter with Veliaj's signature but without a number and date of the protocol. It is automatically not legally valid.

At that moment, it is followed by Veliaj's Facebook status, which dedicated itself to loyalty to Rama. At that moment, the war ended, the debate between them ended. But the problem is not that he closed those debates, the problem is what is happening in Tirana.

How is it possible for all of this to happen and the City Council not to meet?

The Municipal Council is by law the representative institution of the municipality. All this stagnation happens, the mayor is arrested and so many people are removed and returned, and the Municipal Council does not meet.

So we are in an unprecedented situation that has only one note, the note of scandal, corruption, and flagrant violation of the constitution and laws of Albania.
