The democratic deputy Dhurata Çupi has demanded measures to protect the miners, while she said that the greed of the Government is killing them.

"The life of the miners continues to be a painful story. Only in the last month, 6 miners had accidents, 2 of whom died.

And this situation is repeated with workers in every sector. Great pain. No one answers, no one inspects work safety, no one is accountable.

In a city of mineral wealth and extreme poverty, dramas happen constantly. They leave in the morning with the prayer and the hope that in the evening they will return to their living families.

There is no safety at work and there are no safety checks from the state. There is no transparency on the granting of licenses. There is no information on the capacities of these entities that receive exploitation licenses on the sole merit of being friends and well-wishers of the Socialist Party.
