"Steal what you can find", Baçi: Roskovec Municipality buys luxury cars with residents' taxes

PD MP, Luan Baçi has brought back to attention a video from the investigative show 'Piranjat' where the mayor of Roskovec can be seen with a luxury car.

In a statement to the media, Baçi accuses Mayor Majlinda Bufi of abusing the municipality's funds and citizens' taxes, buying a car worth 55 million ALL.

The Democratic Party calls on the law-enforcement bodies to investigate the Mayor as well as the Municipal Council to return the municipality's funds to the service of the citizens.

The municipality of Roskovec is one of the poorest municipalities in the country where the citizens' economy is at its most dramatic. That of survival. But this fact does not impress the greedy mayor Majlinda Bufi at all.

In this video made by the investigative show 'Piranjat', the mayor of Roskovec can be seen in the luxury car and how she escapes from the media for accountability. The millionaire in question is not satisfied with the businesses she manages, the fines she imposes or the corruption she does with the Municipality, but she opens a tender for herself for a comfortable car worth 55 million lek.

The lady in question signed the order for the establishment of the commission for the calculation of the limit fund and technical specifications, which came out in a decision on September 14 and set the first specifications, according to which the car should be black or gray and occupied, and the luxury requirements were only for leather seats.

While in the tender opened on November 6, the requirements and technical specifications of the procurement group increase. More precisely, they exaggerate by asking for leather seats plus leather upholstery, heated and cooled seats, electric mirrors, original factory black windows, engine start-stop option, bizonal climate, but also on-board computer, Navi and Bluetooth.

Which resident of Roskovec would not like such a car? As we remember, Mrs. Bufi buys this luxury car with the money of the poor residents of Roskovec. It seems that she has a passion for theft as she does not stop at the constant abuse of citizens' taxes and her arrogance at the head of the Municipality. Roskoveci is in a time when it has many debts as a municipality and with many citizens without social support.

Recently, this municipality with the mentality of the party 'Steal what you can find before we have justice', has grabbed millions of money from the taxpayers of Roskovec not to build a road or a school but to buy an extraordinary luxury car that will every mayor of our country would be envious. Citizens pay taxes for investment in their area and not for Owl's unbridled love of luxury living.

The Democratic Party calls on the law-enforcement bodies to urgently investigate the Mayor and the Municipal Council to return the municipality's funds to the service of the citizens and not to buy luxury cars for the municipality.
