Xixho: If the majority has a war with drugs, withdraw the law on cannabis

The vice president of the Freedom Party, Erisa Xixho, has listed the problems that, according to her, are "ruining" education in the country.

In her statement, Xixho emphasizes that in addition to the emptying of schools, the results of the recent police actions related to the arrest of drug dealers near the school are just numbers.

According to her, "if this majority were serious about the war on drugs, they should urgently withdraw the law on cannabis, as a major threat to thousands of children and young people across the country.

"Education today is more ruined than ever. Depopulation has emptied the schools of the pre-university system, this year more than 2 thousand students are missing from the school banks.

As if the system with 1001 problems, far from the standards of the region, were not enough, and as if the financial inability of the parents were not enough, for years young Albanians have been served drugs in the school premises.

The arrest of dozens of drug dealers near the country's schools has been reported in the media for several days.

But the question that is asked today by everyone is: Who caused this alarming situation in the Albanian educational environment?

The operation that is being hyped as a success is nothing but an indication of the spectacular failure of the preventive mechanisms that were supposed to guarantee the safety and health of our children in educational institutions across the country.

The drug market in schools was not created overnight, but it is above all a consequence of this government that not only did not discourage, but inspired the drug gangs in the country.

Community policing has failed! This government has the main responsibility for this humiliating situation for our youth. The results of the action that the State Police shows us every day are just provisional numbers.

This government, which has turned the country into the Colombia of Europe, has proven that it has never severed its alliance with drug gangs. Drugs have invaded the country's governance and public funds for years.

The life and health of Albanian children and youth is at risk today!

Me një dorë ua heqin sot e me tjetrën do t’ua servirin nesër.

Therefore, action should be taken today, and why so late, canceling these two laws. It is urgent that the future of the new generation and their safety be our number 1 priority."
