Zhupa submits a lawsuit to the Constitutional Court: Albania no longer has protected areas
Democratic MP Ina Zhupa has filed a lawsuit in the Constitutional Court for the government's law that reduces the protection of protected areas and turns them into construction sites.
Zhupa told the media that the law only serves the interests of Rama and his friends, who provide him with votes.
"Since there was no more room, this need of theirs was solved by Edi Rama by removing the protection of the protected areas and turning them into construction sites for Edi Rama's friends and clients. The law does not protect the public interest and the general interest of the citizens, but only the interest of Edi Rama and his friends through whom he guarantees votes for the next elections", said Zhupa.
The deputy stated that Albania no longer has protected areas, as each area will be returned as Mirela Kumbaro's small dot.
"The protection will only be on paper. How can this law be in the public interest when instead of a lagoon, lake, flora and fauna there will be concrete, swimming pools and villas of oligarchs. We have sued several articles of the Constitution that are violated in this regard. Today, there are practically no more protected areas in Albania. Every point on the map will be like the small point of Mirela Kumbaro" , said Zhupa.
