Two Albanians, aged 33 and 38, have been sentenced to four years in prison for a series of thefts.

They are suspected of having committed over 100 robberies, while in court they faced 65 such, mostly committed in Limburg.

The suspects have been in prison for about a year. At Hasselt's criminal court, they appeared remorseful as they apologized to those affected by their actions. "Because I have debts, I committed the thefts", said one of them in front of the court.

Both are professional thieves, as they are known for similar crimes in Greece, Luxembourg and the United Kingdom, among others.
