Chris LaCivita, the architect of Donald Trump's victory, who is leading the opposition campaign in Albania, has given an interview to the major American newspaper 'Wall Street Journal '.

During an evening in Tirana, the capital of Albania, an American walked through a noisy crowd of thousands, took the stage and asked a question: “Who is ready to make Albania great again?” This American was Chris LaCivita, one of the architects of Donald Trump’s political comeback in 2024, despite dozens of criminal charges.

He is now trying to repeat that strategy for Sali Berisha, a former prime minister of the Balkan country who himself faces corruption charges and is sanctioned by the US.

In Albania, LaCivita has spoken at large rallies, helped design television ads, participated in several Zoom calls with thousands of Albanians, traveled to the country three times, appeared at various public events, and become a target for opponents and supporters alike. He often holds meetings from his office in Virginia.

"In the process, he has suddenly become a central figure in a country of about 2.7 million people ahead of the elections," the newspaper writes.

“There is a part of the electorate in Albania that I like and a part that I don’t like,” LaCivita said with a laugh in a recent interview.

The newspaper writes that Berisha has dismissed the accusations against him as fraud and an attempt by his opponent for political revenge. LaCivita compared the situation to the criminal prosecutions against Trump.

" The same people who took similar actions against Donald Trump, their footprints are everywhere in this case," LaCivita said.

He declined to say how much he was being paid, but said it was " in line with a national political campaign " and would be made public by the Albanian party after the elections.

According to the newspaper, most of LaCivita's messages in Albania about Berisha have mirrored Trump's messages. LaCivita blamed Rama for rising prices and crime, focusing on inflation.

“In 2024, the left tried to put Donald Trump in jail. They failed. In 2025, here in Albania, the socialists want to imprison their entire opposition. They will fail,” he said at a rally last month, with an interpreter relaying his words to the crowd of thousands, many of whom waved American flags.

LaCivita said he would like to take on more foreign clients, but would be limited next year because of his work with American politicians in the midterm elections.
