The best and worst foods for a healthy liver

Our liver is a neglected organ. But it's no myth that everything is filtered there, especially toxins. Everything we eat or drink is largely affected by its quality and quantity.

Large amounts of some foods can make its work difficult and even lead to fatty infiltration (fat in the liver) or even cirrhosis.

Some others do very well. A great example is artichoke, which literally cleanses the liver.

Here's a list of the best foods you should have on your plate every day, as well as the worst ones you should avoid for a healthy liver:

The best

oat

blueberries

Plain black coffee

water

Spinach

artichoke

Broccoli

Green tea

Fresh herbs

Almonds

The worst

Excess sugar

Excess salt

Fatty foods (saturated fats like those in junk foods)

alcohol

Standardized foods (like shrimp, chips, etc.)
