A 37-year-old man is found dead in the Port of Shëngjin

A 37-year-old man was found dead in the Port of Shëngjin. It is suspected that the victim died as a result of drowning.

According to police, a Jet Ski suspected to have been used by the victim was found a few meters away from the body.

"Around 15:40, near the Port of Shëngjin, the Border Police officers of the port found the lifeless body of a citizen near the shore. A few meters away from the body, the Border Police services found a Jet Ski-type floating vehicle.

Preliminary verifications indicate that the victim is a 37-year-old NZ citizen, residing in Fushë-Krujë.

No signs of violence or physical injuries were found on the victim's body. It is initially suspected that he died as a result of drowning at sea.

"The investigation team is at the scene and is working to clarify the circumstances of the incident ," the police announced.
