Murder of businessman Bujar Nasufi/ Burnt glove, the strongest lead in the

A half-burnt glove that was suspected of being used by the perpetrator of the murder of businessman Bujar Nasufi, on the evening of January 12, 2025 near the "Palace of Arrows" area in Tirana, has become the strongest evidence that investigators have in hand to solve this serious criminal case.

According to BW, after Nasuf's execution, the perpetrator, who was riding a motorbike, burned the vehicle in one of the tunnels in the Kombinat area. Because he had used gloves during the act, no fingerprints were identified on the motorbike. However, one of the gloves, which was not completely burned, contained biological material from the suspect, from which a DNA profile was obtained.

This profile has already been sent for comparison to the Interpol DNA database, in the hope that it may match a previous person booked for similar crimes. In parallel, by court order, a DNA comparison is also being carried out with that of the mother of two brothers from Përmet, who had conflicts with the victim due to a disputed property, which had been transferred to Nasuf's name by their father.

Both brothers are wanted by Spanish authorities for involvement in cocaine trafficking, and are being investigated for a possible role in organizing this premeditated murder.

Bujar Nasufi was shot dead near his apartment, as he was parking his car, while his wife was nearby. The perpetrator approached on a motorbike and executed him with several bullets, immediately leaving the scene.

The prosecution is investigating several leads, but the main hope for identifying the perpetrator of the murder remains the DNA evidence left on the burned glove.
