Statement by the Spokesperson of the President of the Freedom Party, Ms. Jasmira Memelli

Hello!

The “Alliance for a Greater Albania” coalition reaffirms its unwavering commitment to guaranteeing a living wage for every Albanian citizen. At a time when poverty is deepening and the current government has abandoned the most vulnerable segments of society, the “Alliance for a Greater Albania” coalition presents a clear and feasible alternative for the economic dignity of every individual.

The living wage is not just a financial figure, but a basic standard for living with dignity, a right that every Albanian should enjoy.

Today, thousands of Albanian citizens live below the subsistence level. High inflation, rising prices of food and basic services, lack of social support, and the abusive policies of the current government have pushed many families into extreme poverty.

Economic aid is insufficient, often provided selectively, and does not respond to the real needs of people in need.

Our program aims to create a social safety net that guarantees survival, but also a life with dignity for every individual. This program in the first 100 days guarantees:

Establishing a living wage of 200 euros for every Albanian.

Every pensioner, with a full or partial pension, lower than 200 euros per month, every unemployed person or person on economic assistance, every student with a scholarship and every orphan, will receive 200 euros per month.

Increase pensions by 20%.

Increasing the minimum wage to 500 euros

Increasing the average salary to 1200 euros.

Every pensioner, citizen with a subsistence minimum or minimum wage, will be provided with a Consumer Card, with which they will benefit from a refund of the VAT paid for the purchase of basic food, electricity, water and medicines, benefiting around 450 euros per year.

For disabled people in need, their guardianship and insurance will be paid for.

The price of electricity will be reduced to 7 lek per person.

The price of oil will decrease by 35-40%.

All fines for electricity and drinking water will be waived for pensioners, low-wage workers, single mothers, families on economic assistance, the unemployed, and small businesses.

This program is detailed and feasible. It will be financed through better use of the state budget, the fight against corruption, and the reduction of government luxuries.

We believe that no one should suffer for their bread in a country that has the potential for development and well-being. The living wage is not only a response to the social crisis, but a necessary step towards a more humane society, where every citizen is respected and supported.

Therefore, we call on all Albanian citizens to exercise their right to vote, to give the deserved response to this government that ruined and depopulated Albania.

On May 11th, all together, we vote No. 1, the "Alliance for a Greater Albania"

We vote for Ilir Metaj in the Tirana district.

Thank you
