Dear heads of the DP branches of this region. Dear candidates for deputies in the next Assembly of Albania. dignified representatives of the citizens of the Fier region and of all of Albania. True pride for Fier, the DP and Albania.
I express my great pleasure, because I come to you today, because you men and women, boys and girls of this region and all of Albania, awakened in the hearts and minds of Albanians the hope that was fading. You restored to them the great hope.
You restored to the young Albanians their beautiful Albanian dream. The light of victory on May 11th returned to the streets and squares of this country, to the hearts and minds of Albanians. Of the historic victory, of our separation from one of the most undeserved periods in history, from a regime that, in 12 years, devastated Fier and Albania, more than any war, any invasion, any natural disaster in all times, from a regime that, instead of enabling Albanians to live better from year to year with their work and sweat, made them impoverished, their food supply dwindled more and more, and the only alternative left to them was to take the dirt roads from a regime whose prime minister, when he came to power 12 years ago, you have seen, never forget, proudly walked from one television studio to another, showing his citizens the bars, to prove to them that he is the son of an executioner, who ordered the hanging of dissidents and who in one year arrested 37 thousand Albanians for civil cases, for which no one in the world is arrested.

Albanians, after such a night, rose like a phoenix from the ashes to the zenith and today come more confident than ever in their plebiscite victory, the victory of every Albanian, the victory of Fier and Albania.
