Berisha in Bulqiza: We will approve the status of miners within 100 days, your minimum salary will be 1 thousand euros

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has guaranteed the miners that within 100 days, he will approve their status.

From Bulqiza, Berisha said that within 100 days he will raise the minimum wage to 1 thousand euros for miners.

Berisha: I want to bow with great respect before you, men and women of Bulqiza, for the extraordinary contribution you have made to the economy, science, knowledge, education, and culture of this country.

I come to you today with a strong sense of responsibility. In fact, with a real apology for the injustices that have been done to you.

Albanian society, the Albanian state have been unfair to the miners of Bulqiza and Albania.

I say this because you, your fathers, your people, for decades and decades, have shed rivers of sweat underground in very difficult conditions with great sacrifices, sometimes even your lives, and you have not received, have never been rewarded for what you deserve.

I have repeatedly spoken with your representatives, with the president of the unions, Përparimi, Shaqiri, and I come before you with a new concept.

And that concept is this: Society owes a great debt to miners.

Just as it has a debt to its owners, to the politically persecuted. There are three categories to which Albanian society has obligations.

And I guarantee you that I come determined to finally pay off the debt to these three categories.

This means that in the first 100 days, the status of the miner will be signed and implemented. This means that a minimum salary of 1 thousand euros will be provided. The minimum! This means that your pensions will be the highest in Albania. On top! This means, of course, I will make a clarification here, we will respond to the entrepreneur who will be forced to move his salary from 800 to 1 thousand and beyond, we will respond to him. We will ease his taxes. We will reduce his taxes. We will sell him energy from 18 lek to 6 lek.

And we will do a very big thing for the exporting entrepreneur.

We will compensate, penny for penny, the euro that the traffickers spread on the ground.

Narco-euro is imported by container and here the company goes bankrupt because it exports in euros.

But the depreciated euro hurts it by 35 percent.

Our goal is that these world resources, Bulqiza again has world reserves of chromium, I absolutely tell you this. Studies have been done by the largest companies in the world. They told me that there are still 22 million tons to be exploited. It's not just Bulqiza. Albania has fabulous mineral resources. Its mountains are mineral. So the issue of status will be one of our most serious issues.
