US President Donald Trump has had a telephone conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, with whom he says he had a good and constructive conversation.
Through a post on the Truth Social platform, Trump states that he and Erdogan have addressed "many topics," including the war between Russia and Ukraine, "all things about Syria" and Gaza.
"The President invited me to go to Turkey at a future date, and he will also come to Washington," Trump said.
He described their relationship as "excellent" and added that he looks forward to working with Erdogan "to end the ridiculous but deadly war between Russia and Ukraine - NOW!"
