Albanian arrested in France, caught with 11 kg of cocaine

A 30-year-old Albanian man traveling in a car registered in Italy attracted the attention of customs officers stationed at the Perthus toll booth on the A9 motorway.

When the driver is Albanian and has a Polish residence permit, the officers' curiosity is piqued. Rightly so, as they soon discovered a hidden quantity containing no less than 11 kg of cocaine.

In front of the investigators, the 30-year-old remained silent. He refused to give his phone's access codes and objected to having his identification read.

However, investigations quickly revealed that he had made around 15 trips within Spain. He faces a minimum sentence of 5 years if he does not cooperate with justice.
