Topalli denounces SP officials: They are manipulating votes in Greece and Italy

The DP's delegate for the diaspora, Jozefina Topalli, has denounced the embassy official in Rome, Marjeta Mikeli, and the other former mayor of Çarshova, who is now in the municipality of Përmet, Veli Mehmeti.

Topalli said that the embassy official collects and delivers the envelopes in an illegal manner. Topalli emphasized that the introduction of SP people as if they were DHL offices is unacceptable.

"DHL Post in Greece has contacted the sub-contactor, which is a violation of legal norms and the electoral code. We have cases where not only are the envelopes not delivered individually with the passport, this would be a crazy claim perhaps, even though it is legal, but they send emails and tell them to come to the nearest point.

Usually the nearest Speedex or Currier point and the nearest point is a betting point, and Albanians go, but they can't find the envelope there. They are told that their envelope is no longer here, even though they didn't pick it up, and someone else went to pick up their envelope.

We have cases like in Italy, where a lady who works at the embassy in Rome goes and collects envelopes and delivers them illegally. Her name is Marjeta Mikeli and this is unbelievable, not that they didn't do it during the registration, but now they have gone through every measure. But if Italy is more limited, but the lady will be taken under investigation, what is happening in Greece is throughout the territory of the Greek state and the concern is extremely great. We have information that they rent cars and take them to Greece to collect votes.

We have other cases, such as a former mayor of Çarshova, who is now in the municipality of Përmet, after going there and having the phone numbers, the information that comes to us is that they give him a financial amount and then he fills out the ballot himself, Veli Mehmeti is the name. Such things are repeated, it is no longer a sporadic phenomenon, but has become normal.

I understand the alarm that the other side has regarding the situation there, but breaking the law, bringing in SP people as if they were DHL offices, is unacceptable.

For these cases, we ask not only the CEC, but also SPAK, especially in Greece, to verify such scandalous cases that have almost thrown the voting and envelope delivery process in this country out of control.

"It is no coincidence that if until the day before yesterday the number of envelopes from Greece was around 17 thousand, within 24 hours, precisely during the period when we were receiving information about manipulation in a certain proportion of the vote, this number jumped by 6 thousand, which has not happened in any other country, even though it has a much larger number of voters," declared Topalli.
