Albanians lower their vacation standards/ Operators: Packages have become more

More expensive vacations, but also a euro worth less than a year ago, have made Albanians more limited this year in their reservations abroad.

Travel agencies report a drop in bookings a few weeks before the start of the tourist season.

"The number of reservations has decreased slightly, but there are also reservations during the middle of the season. We think that the prices of the packages are more expensive. The factor of the fall of the euro has influenced so that many hotels may have changed by 100-200 euros compared to last year. Reservations have started in January. The preferred destinations remain Greece and Turkey," says tour operator Seidini.

Faced with expensive packages, Albanians have changed the standard of their vacations.

"There are also economical options that offer breakfast and dinner packages that are all inclusive. That way they have lower costs. For families, the most preferred are Greece and Turkey. This year, Italy is being preferred a lot because of low-cost flights. Many young couples prefer it. In Greece, apart from Corfu and Halkidiki, Crete, Mykonos, Santorini, etc. are preferred," adds Seidini.

Low-cost flights and direct routes are becoming the most popular vacation options for Albanians.
