The specialists of the Police Station in Tirana have prosecuted the citizen MG, 62 years old, in a free state, for the criminal offense of animal abuse.

This action came after the release of footage in some online media where MG was allegedly seen performing abusive actions with a dog.

The footage has caused widespread public concern and prompted reactions from the community and animal protection organizations.

" Criminal Investigation Specialists at Police Station No. 2 prosecuted the citizen MG, 62 years old, resident in Tirana, for the criminal offense of "Animal abuse", provided for by article 207/ci of the Criminal Code. According to footage published on several portals, it is suspected that this citizen mistreated an animal (dog).

The materials were handed over to the Prosecutor's Office", the authorities' announcement states.
