The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe voted today (April 16) in favor of Kosovo's membership in this organization.
To be approved by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, a majority of 2/3 of the votes of the members present at the meeting was required.
After the vote of the Parliamentary Assembly, the matter passes into the hands of the Foreign Ministers of the Council of Europe, who must finally decide whether Kosovo will become the newest member of the organization.
