Businessman Julian Morina, known as Lul Morina, was recently summoned to SPAK and gave explanations in the context of the new criminal case opened against former interior minister Saimir Tahiri.

According to the first investigations, it turns out that the construction businessman has made several bank transactions worth over 80 thousand euros, transfers that were made during 2016-2017 to the account of Fatlinda Tahiri, the wife of the former Minister of the Interior Saimir Tahiri.

According to Nea24, during the interrogation, he accepted these transfers and told the investigators that he will make the balance sheets of the companies available to them, while he explained that the money was returned to him by his wife. SPAK says that it is investigating the reasons for these transactions and why this money was spent by the Tahiri family.

Former interior minister Saimir Tahiri was convicted of abuse of office and was released from prison after 1 year and 6 months, where he is serving the remainder of his sentence at home. He was initially accused of drug trafficking and favoring the Habilaj criminal group, but no charges were dropped.

But, while he still hasn't settled his accounts with SPAK for the first case, since the high court has not yet expressed his opinion on it, Tahiri is facing new legal troubles, related to his wealth.

Although very reserved, sources close to SPAK say that other well-known businessmen have also been questioned in this matter.
