Enkelejd Joti has resigned from the post of General Director of RTSH.

Joti took office in 2021, after its former head Thoma Gëllçi was arrested for tender corruption. Joti has submitted his request for resignation to the Governing Council of RTSH.

"In compliance with Article 106 of Law no. 97/2013 "On audiovisual media in the Republic of Albania" amended, RTSH Statute no. 98/2016, I present to you my irrevocable resignation from the position of General Director of Albanian Radio and Television (RTSH)", the letter states . .

It is learned that Joti has resigned to become part of the Rama government, where the position he is expected to hold is that of the Deputy Minister of Environment.
