Ermal Onuzi has been appointed the new head of the Guard of the Republic.
His election was signed today by Prime Minister Edi Rama. There were 6 competitors in the race for the head of the Republic Guard, among them was the former head of the State Police Artan Didi.
The appointment of Ermal Onuz to this position came after the resignation of Gramoz Sako as head of the Guard of the Republic.
General Sako announced his resignation from office after 11 years of work.
