"Ferrari", "Rolex" and 1.8 million euros, the prosecutor's office of Fier seizes the assets of the Albanian trafficker

The Prosecutor's Office of Fier has seized assets worth about 1.8 million euros belonging to the AM citizen, suspected of stemming from criminal activity.

Among the seized properties are a "Ferrari" vehicle, worth about 130,000 Euros, land, apartments, bank accounts, "Rolex" brand watches, as well as jewelry and other precious items of considerable value.

The seized assets are:

The Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of Fier General Jurisdiction has registered criminal proceedings no. 1162 of 2020, for the criminal offense "Cleaning the proceeds of a criminal offense or criminal activity" provided for by Article 287 of the Criminal Code. This proceeding was registered based on the referral of the Fier Local Police Directorate due to the suspicion created that the AM citizen is involved in criminal activity in the field of drug trafficking and actions carried out to cover the real origin of assets in possession of directly or indirectly from him.

As part of the criminal proceedings, the Fier Prosecutor's Office, in cooperation with the judicial police services of the Fier Local Police Directorate, has carried out a complete verification of the economic and legal actions of the AM citizen and/or the parties connected with him, in order to identify the assets that these persons own/possess, as well as whether these persons had legal resources for the creation of assets. After carrying out their accounting verifications and expertise, it was found that they do not have legal sources for the creation of wealth in their possession.

Based on the data administered on account of the criminal proceedings, the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Fier, based on law no. 10192, dated 03.12.2009 "On preventing and combating organized crime, trafficking, corruption and other crimes through preventive measures against wealth", as amended, mainly registered the property proceeding no. 3/2024.

Therefore, based on the law no. 10192, dated 03.12.2009 "On the prevention and combating of organized crime, trafficking, corruption and other crimes through preventive measures against property", as amended, it was requested in the Court to take a preventive measure of a property nature, which consists in the seizure of certain immovable and movable assets. This request was accepted by the Court, as based on law and evidence.

Following the decision of the Court and the order of the Prosecutor, some of the seized items were executed by the judicial police, as follows:

1. Property of the "Area" type, with an area of ​​2281m2,

2. Property of the type "Area", with an area of ​​4550m2.

3. Property of the "Unit" type, with an area of ​​200 m2.

4. Property of the "Plot" type, with an area of ​​210 m2.

5. Property of the "Plot" type, with an area of ​​210m2.

6. Property of the "Plot" type, with an area of ​​210m2.

7. 2-storey "Unit" type property.

8. "Unit" type property with an area of ​​100 m2.

9. Property type "Apartment" no. 41 (3+1), with a total area of ​​127.4.

10. Property of the type "Parking place no. 29" on floor -1, of 30.14 m2.

11. Vehicles of the brand "Lamborghini", model "Urus", year of production 2018.

The assets above are a part of the assets that have been managed to be executed by the judicial police as the work continues for the execution of the seizure of other items that are subject to seizure.

Also, in the function of criminal proceedings no. 1162, of 2020, registered for the criminal offense "Cleaning the proceeds of a criminal offense or criminal activity", provided for by Article 287 of the Criminal Code, based on the request of the prosecution body and the Court's decision dated 11.06.2024, it was allowed control of the residence or premises of the persons subject to investigation. During the control, the following were seized:

- A "Ferrari" vehicle, model California, worth about 130,000 Euros.

– Rolex brand watches, as well as jewelry and other precious items of considerable value.

In total, the value of the assets/assets seized on account of the property and criminal proceedings, amounts to around 1.8 million euros.

In the following, the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Fier expresses its full commitment to the continuation of the investigations of the group of crimes related to illegal enrichment by taking measures for their seizure and confiscation.
