A serious incident has shaken the city of Fier this afternoon, where a driver was seriously injured after a sudden tire explosion. The incident occurred on the Fier-Patos axis, near the Police Directorate, while changing the tire of a heavy-duty vehicle.

According to preliminary information, driver Ismet Cjapi, an employee of the irrigation and drainage company in Fier, was changing his vehicle's tire when the explosion, caused by high pressure, caused serious injuries.

The injured man was urgently transported to the Fier Regional Hospital and is under intensive medical care. Sources from the hospital indicate that his condition is critical.
