Sheriff Dumi, 67 years old, was found dead in his apartment in the Dunavat neighborhood in Gjirokastër.

According to media reports, the police received a notification at 17:58 that in the Dunavat neighborhood, near the bakery, a person is trapped inside the apartment and was not responding to calls.

The police and the fire department went to the place of the incident, which made it possible to open the door of the apartment.

The victim, Sherif Dumi, was found lying on the floor, without signs of life.

Investigations have started regarding the incident, while the autopsy will determine the cause of the 67-year-old's death.
