Korça Court remands Andi Shkulaku in prison

The Korça Court has issued the security measure "Arrest with Imprisonment" for Andi Shkulaku, arrested on charges of failing to report a crime for the serious incident of August 10, 2024 in Pogradec where Egli Proga was killed.

The investigations into the murder of Egli Proga, which are in the final phase, seem to be changing. Recently, new evidence has come to light from the arrested person himself, who, according to the new version, stated that the victim was first raped inside the bar by citizen Leonidha Guçe and then he was hit when he left the premises by citizen Denis Meçe. However, the Korça prosecution is continuing the investigative actions to fully document the evidence.

On August 10th of last year, citizen Egli Proga was killed, and the incident then created clashes between institutions and suspicions of a cover-up, while recent investigative actions seem to be changing the course of the serious incident, precisely at the stage when the prosecution's file was expected to go to trial.
