Tirana Court reinstates Florian Sulejmani as head of AMP

Florian Sulejmani has been reinstated as Director General of the Police Supervision Agency. It was the Tirana Court that overturned the suspension measure imposed at the request of the Berat Prosecutor's Office.

The prosecution filed charges against Sulejmani for the criminal offense of "Abuse of Office", which was accepted by the First Instance Court of Berat. According to the prosecution, the director of the AMP, Florian Sulejmani, has transferred judicial police officers in violation of the law.

The Berat Court has accepted a request from the prosecution to suspend the director of the Police Supervision Agency, Florian Sulejmani, from his duties, as he is under investigation for abuse of office in connection with the procedure followed in the transfer of judicial police officers, which is suspected to have been carried out in violation of the relevant legislation.

The Berat Prosecutor's Office announced on April 16 the imposition of the personal security measure "Suspension of the exercise of a public duty or service" against the General Director of the Police Supervision Agency, AMP, Florian Suljemani, within the framework of a criminal proceeding registered against him for the criminal offense of "Abuse of office".
