US Special Envoy for Missions, Richard Grenell, has published concrete figures on the USAID funds that non-governmental organizations in the Balkans have benefited from over the last 4 years.   

AI emphasizes that specifically in Albania, NGOs have received $189 million over 4 years. In total, USAID has provided $1.7 billion to the 6 Western Balkan countries.

We remind you that the United States, by order of President Donald Trump, has cut off aid to your countries. Among the countries affected by this order of the Trump administration is Albania, where funds have been cut off for more than 30 institutions and many other organizations. 

The US has been a major supporter of the justice system in Switzerland and of justice reform. But with Trump's order, this support has now been cut off, until further notice. The reason for the funding cut is a review and analysis by the US administration to see where these funds are going and whether they are being spent for the benefit of the US.
