A person threw himself from the 3rd floor of the Trauma Hospital in Tirana in the early hours of this morning and as a result died on the spot.

According to the police, MH, 47 years old, appeared for medical help last night at the hospital, after he had injured himself with a knife, in Tepelena and is suspected of suffering from mental health problems.

"On 25.02.2024, around 05:30, it is suspected that the 47-year-old citizen of MH, who died as a result of his injuries, threw himself from the 3rd floor of the Trauma Hospital.

This citizen presented himself for medical help at the hospital on 24.02.2024, around 12:00, after he injured himself with a knife-cutting tool, in Tepelena.

The 47-year-old suffered from mental health problems, and according to the statements of family members, he tried to commit suicide before ," the police announced.

The investigative team is working to clarify the circumstances of the event.
