Iniesta bids farewell to football

Andres Iniesta ends his playing career in a match between the greats of Barcelona and Real Madrid in Tokyo and will now begin studies to become a coach.

The Spanish football legend, 40, announced in October that he would be hanging up his boots after a career that saw him win two European Championships and the 2010 World Cup.

In front of the 45,000 spectators who came to greet him, he gave a final demonstration of the skills that also allowed him to win nine La Liga titles and four Champions Leagues during his 16 years with Barcelona.

During his time at Camp Nou he made 674 appearances and won a total of 32 trophies. He then moved to Vissel Kobe, before playing one final season in the United Arab Emirates.
