More than 13 kg of heroin narcotics were seized in the Port of Durrës, the drug was hidden in the back of the "Durres-Milano" bus.

The amount of narcotics was divided into 26 packages wrapped in natriban and the total weight was 137 kg and 750 g.

The police have arrested a 32-year-old man, owner of the "Durrës-Milano" bus company, and the 57-year-old bus driver.

Police notification:

The Border Police Services, in the wake of consecutive operations for the prevention, identification and suppression of illegal traffic attempts, as a result of the intensification of control, based on risk analysis and information intelligence, have passed for detailed control on the line the second, the "Durrës-Milano" line bus.

From a detailed check, in cooperation with the specialists for the Investigation of Illegal Traffic and Narcotics of DVP Durrës, and the customs authorities, using modern control techniques, the Police services have found hidden in the back of the bus, 26 packages of wrapped with natriban, inside which there were suspected heroin narcotics with a total weight of 13 kilograms and 750 grams, which was seized as material evidence.

Following the first investigative actions, the specialists for the Investigation of Illegal Traffic and Narcotics of DVP Durres have arrested the following citizens in the act:

-Mikel Pici, 32 years old, resident of Rrogozhinë, the owner of the "Durrës-Milano" bus company;

- Piro Rushi, 57 years old, resident of Fier, the driver of the bus where the narcotics were found.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Durrës Judicial District Court, for further actions, for the criminal offense "Trafficking in narcotics", carried out in cooperation with "Production and sale of narcotics".
