Italy/ 22-year-old Albanian dies in factory after metal mold explodes

A tragic incident has occurred in the Friuli region of Italy, where a 22-year-old Albanian, Daniel Tafa, has lost his life at work. The young man was working in a factory that was engaged in stamping industrial gears when a hot metal mold exploded, releasing a piece that hit him in the back.

Despite the efforts of colleagues and emergency services, Daniel died at the scene. One of his colleagues told local media details of the final moments:

“A piece was placed in the press for a test. I don't know what happened, but this piece came out of place and hit him.”
The sad thing is that just the day before, on March 24, Daniel had celebrated his 22nd birthday. He was on the night shift when the fatal accident occurred.

Italian authorities have launched an investigation to determine whether the incident was the result of a technical fault with the machinery or human error.

This is not the only tragic case of Albanians in the neighboring country. Just a few days ago, another young Albanian, Gentjan, 31, lost his life on a farm in Italy. He was driving a tractor when, for reasons still unclear, the vehicle fell into a canal and overturned, trapping him underneath.
