In the Special Appeal, a hearing is being held for the former Minister of Health, Ilir Beqaj and the other 6 accused in the SASPAC case.

Beqaj and the other 6 have appealed the security measures and demand their replacement.

Beqaj was arrested on July 4 by the Special Prosecutor's Office against Organized Crime and Corruption, on suspicion of a corruption scheme with the funds of the Agency for the Coordination of Foreign Aid (SASPAC).

Ermal Kurtulaj was also arrested, while Alfred Nikolla was placed under house arrest and four other suspects were placed under house arrest.
