A serious accident occurred this morning on the suburban road of Perivoli in the south of Corfu, where for reasons still unclear, the car driven by a 39-year-old Albanian woman went off the road and collided with an electric pole, causing death her.
The vehicle suffered major damages while an EKAB ambulance arrived at the scene, where the rescue teams simply confirmed the death of the 39-year-old woman.
The Fire Service performed the operation to extract the woman's body.
A preliminary investigation to clarify the exact circumstances of the road accident is being conducted by the Southern Police Department of Corfu.
