Vowing to fight for justice on his behalf, in her speech she stressed her determination to protect her brother's memory and ensure the criminals who took his life are brought to justice.

"Since the day when Egli remained here lifeless after the barbarians of this city took his life, I will be his protector. I will protect him after death because I was not here to protect him forever. I may look like a little girl in black, but I owe it to my brother to bring justice. I don't want anyone to benefit from my brother's death, I don't want his death to be politicized, but I will accept help in establishing justice.
