The former ambassador of Germany in Albania, Peter Zingraf, has passed away. The news was announced by the German embassy in Tirana, through social networks.
Zingraf served as Germany's ambassador in Tirana from 2019 to 2023. He died from a serious illness.
"It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of our late colleague Peter Zingraf.
Peter Zingraf, the German Ambassador in Tirana from 2019 to 2023, passed away on May 20, 2024 after a short but serious illness.
His sudden loss has shocked us all. Peter Zingraf will be remembered as a friendly, humorous and always approachable person and as a great colleague and friend.
We invite all those who knew and appreciated him to share their condolences and memories in our virtual memorial space," the message of the German embassy says.
