Tomorrow, the day without cars, the axes where the traffic in Tirana will be limited

Some road axes in Tirana will be blocked tomorrow from 09:00 to 15:00 thanks to the 'car-free day' initiative.

The roads where the circulation of vehicles in Tirana will be limited are:

Boulevard "Dëshmorët e Kombit" from the Ministry of Interior to the beginning of "Ish- Hotel Dajti".

"Dëshmorët e Kombit" Boulevard from the Bridge of the "former Hotel Dajti" to the intersection with "Ismail Qemali" Street.

The segment of the street "Myslym Shyri" from the intersection of the High Court towards the Boulevard "Dëshmorët e Kombit".

2. The circulation of vehicles, emergency vehicles and the State Police will be done according to the movement plan below:

Emergency vehicles, State Police, Urban Urban Public Service and Taxi 4 + 1 will be available at all times in the segments defined in point 1 of this decision.

For all other vehicles the access will be to the streets Ibrahim Rugova, Blv. Zhan D'Ark. Blv.Bajram Curri dhc George.Ë.Bush. Traffic at the intersection of "Myslym Shyri" street with "Ibrahim Rugova" street will be forced to the right.

The government decided that every first Sunday of every month will be car-free day.

The decision is a measure that will serve the plan to save electricity. Initially, the government decided to turn off the street lights along some road axes such as highways, as well as ordered the lights off of unused institutions.
